East Hampton Contemporary
The balance of art and nature are found at this contemporary home in East Hampton. Blurring the lines of architecture and nature truly is exemplified in this home which is why tasteful lighting in the gardens is so key.
Lighting Elements
The landscape was designed to balance the linear straight modern lines of the architecture with soft curvilinear shapes in the gardens full of texture and color. The approach to lighting was to highlight the design elements of the garden with soft brush strokes of light upon the perimeter garden beds creating depth and balance for the night views. With large expanses of glass to fully appreciate the landscape, those scenes become evermore important and intimate at night becoming paintings instead of reflections.
